A beautifully converted guesthouse in a tiny village at the heart of the mountainous Sierra Aracena Natural Park in Southern Spain. The guesthouse is run by Craig and Sasha and was featured on the TV series, “No Going Back”.

Tucked in the narrow cobbled streets of one of the prettiest villages in the park, our guesthouse retains all the original rustic character and rural charm that typifies this delightful region. Our village of Castaño del Robledo is set amidst hillsides clad in cork and chestnut trees and lies at the centre of the Sierra Aracena natural park – a UNESCO biosphere reserve.  Here in our village is where many of the park’s most rewarding walking and riding trails converge!

The Posada del Castaño makes an ideal base to explore this beautiful and little-known region.  At just over one hour from Seville airport it’s easy to get here even for a long week-end, though with so many beautiful, mountain trails and attractive villages you can easily spend much longer!.

We offer self-guided walking packages for individuals, couples and friends, as well as fully-guided  walking itineraries for groups, walking clubs and tour operators.  Our packages, are designed to help you get the most from your visit.
